About the University
Yorkville University was established in 2003 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The University is private and non-denominational, delivering practitioner-oriented degree programs that bridge the gap between theory and practice, leading to rewarding professional careers.
In March 2004, the Minister of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour granted designation status, approving Yorkville University as a degree granting institution authorized to offer the Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology (MACP). In October 2011, the University was granted the authority to offer a Master of Education in Adult Education (M.Ed). and in 2012, the authority to offer a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. In 2015, the university received consent to offer a Master of Education in Educational Leadership which it recently launched.
RCC Institute of Technology became an Ontario division of Yorkville University in 2007, and in 2009, RCCIT acquired the Academy of Design and the Toronto Film School. Today, RCCIT delivers professional degree and diploma programs in business, technology and design, largely delivered on-campus but with some online offerings.
In 2015, Yorkville University was granted authority in British Columbia to offer a Bachelor of Business Administration, with specializations in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Project Management and Energy Management.

Yorkville University ESL Pathway Program
The ESL Pathway Program enables students, with less than the minimum required IELTS scores, to be accepted to Yorkville University programs in Ontario. The ESL Pathway offers three levels of study with content focused on improving your English language skills. You will leave the program with improved English language skills for reading, writing, speaking and comprehension. The levels are 12 weeks in duration and involve 25 hours of instruction per week. All students will have access to on-going language and international student services during their studies at Yorkville University. The ESL Pathway program is available at the 1835 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, M4S 1X8, Canada.
Oxford Placement Test
Students applying to Yorkville University programs in Ontario without an IELTS score will be asked to complete the Oxford Placement Test to determine their placement in either (a) Beginner Pathway (b) Level 1 (c) Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program or (d) enter their degree/diploma program directly or with a concurrent English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course. The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course is available at respective campuses concurrently as part of the programs. (This course is a credit course that counts towards the completion of the degree. There is no additional cost to the program when students take the EAP course.)
Applicants from countries where English is not the primary language spoken and applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency by providing evidence of one of the following completed scored tests:

- On Campus Bachelor of Business Administration Tuition Bursaries
All new BBA students who are Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents can apply for a 45% tuition bursary towards BBA courses completed on campus in Vancouver, or a 35% tuition bursary towards BBA courses completed on campus in Toronto. One applicant will be awarded the Working Adults Tuition Bursary which covers 100% of their program’s tuition. The Working Adults Tuition Bursary is part of Yorkville University’s efforts to assist people achieve their professional goals without compromising work or personal commitments. Students can study while they work with flexible course schedules and evening classes, and graduate in as few as 2.5 years.
